I worked with Wakefield as a textile designer, developing original fabric prints for seasonal collections in response to commercial briefs. My work focused primarily on floral and botanical motifs, translating seasonal references into versatile patterns designed for textile applications.
Working from colour, trend and seasonal directions, I developed repeat patterns and coordinated prints, balancing detailed botanical illustration with the practical requirements of a commercial textile collection. The designs were created with attention to scale, repeat, colourways and overall fabric application, ensuring that each print could work both as a standalone statement and within a broader collection.
My designs were subsequently presented by Wakefield at international textile trade fairs, including Première Vision and LA Textile, giving the work a professional context within the wider fashion and textile industry.
The project reflects my approach to commercial surface design: combining an illustrative, detail-driven style with the ability to interpret a brief, respond to seasonal directions and develop artwork that is both distinctive and production-ready.
